Triathlete Europe UK IRONMAN 70.3 Team Relay

IRONMAN UK are pleased to announce that it will now be taking team entries for the UK IRONMAN 70.3 at Wimbleball Lake.

Teams of 3 people will be able to compete in the event on the 20th June, each team will be supplied with only one timing chip which will act as the 'batton' which shall be passed from team member to team member as each of the disciplines are completed.

Registration

The team must register on either the Saturday or Friday before the Race. The team must all be present for Registration at the same time and MUST all have photo ID.

The team will be supplied with the following -

- 1 x swim cap
- 3 x athlete wrist bands, which must be put on by the Volunteer at time of Registration
- 2 x bib numbers ( 1 for the Runner and 1 for the Cyclist)
- 1 x timing chip
- 1 x timing chip strap
- 1 x set of bike stickers

The team will only be able to enter Tranisition to Rack the Bike on Saturday before the Race, and there will be no bags to rack as each athlete should arrive on Race Day full prepared and ready to race.

The only person who is able to cross the Finish Line will be the team member who completes the Run Section of the course, the athlete who crosses the Finish Line will be responsible for collecting the medals and shirts of the athletes.

Teams or individuals which make up the team will not be able to qualify for World Championship slots.

Withdrawal

If one person has to withdraw from the Relay the whole team must pull out, as team places are not able to be substituted for another person. The refund policy is listed below -

- until 150 days prior to the race – 75 % charge back to the athlete

- until 90 days prior to the race – 50 % charge back to the athlete

- until 45 days prior to the race – 25 % charge back to the athlete

- 45 days and less prior to the race – no refound.

Team places are not transferable from person to person, race to race, year to year.
