 2.4 miles / 2 laps anti-clockwise / mass start / in-water start

Feed Stations

There will be water only Feed Station at the swim exit.

Optics Table

There will be a table at the swim exit/entrance for competitors to place their glasses, contact lenses, inhalers should they require this facility.

IRONMAN UK would like to take this opportunity to thank, Wigan Police, Greater Manchester Police, Lancashire Police, Lancashire Highways and Wigan Highways for their prompt turnaround to our ongoing discussions, and for their hard work to get the 2010 courses to their present stages in order that online entries can open for you the competitor.

We look forward to working with all the afore mentioned authorities to further develop the 2010 courses in the New Year, as some changes are inevitable as our combined planning process continues to develop the 2010 event.

Swimming is forbidden in the Flash at any time. Any person found swimming in the Flash outside Official IRONMAN UK Swim sessions will be disqualified from all furture IRONMAN UK Events.
