Dear 2010 IRONMAN UK Competitor

 

With the 2010 IRONMAN UK event drawing even closer please find below a general 'housekeeping' e-mail covering several areas that should help ensure your pre-event planning goes as smopthly as your race day!

 

PHOTO ID - Please remeber to bring your photo ID with you for Registration at the event venue. It does not matter what photo ID it is....could be your Blockbusters video membership card or anything....just as long as it is your own PHOTO ID.

 

RACE PACKS - As per the event website instructions....no event race Packs are posted out at all. You collect everything from the event venue when you arrive at Registration.

 

TICKETS - whether they are Athlete (Free of Charge) or Guest (Payable) Pasta party or Awards Ceremony tickets - you collect them at Registration - as long as you have already pre-booked them via the Race Office. The Race Office is no longer taking bookings for Tickets.

 

CAR PARKING (AM) - Please remember that all cars using their pre-booked car parking slots at Pennington Flash on race morning MUST be moved by their nomiated Spectator by 9.30am. This time schedule MUST be adhered to please - this is at the request of the car park owners who are kndly hiring their facilities to us for our use. If you have pre-booked a car park slot you will collect your CAR PARK PERMIT when you attend Registration at the event venue.

 

SHUTTLE BUSES (AM) - For those of you that have pre-booked a seat on the shuttle buses from the Reebok Stadium, you will collect your SHUTTLE BUS WRISTBAND when you attend Registration at the event venue. Please remember that, in accordance with the pre-booking instructions, your wrist band will be a specific colour which will denote the time of shuttle bus you have pre-booked. The security staff manning the shuttle buses on race morning will ensure that the wristbands match the shuttle bus times! You will only be allowed to travel on the bus in accordance with your wristband colour/time. This is to ensure the smooth running of this process.

 

CAR PARKING (AFTER SWIM START/T1) - Please note that after 9.30am there will be no car parking available at the swim start/T1. Also please note that there will be no car parking available at T2 during the event itself. Security staff will be in place prior to the event commencing to ensure that no parking ocurs at T2.
