What are the distances?
Swim; 2.4 miles
Bike, 112 miles
Run, 26.2 miles

What are the cut off times?
Swim, 2 hours 20 minutes
Bike, 10 hours 30 minutes (after start of race)
Run, 17 hours (after start of race)

Will there be a relay entry?
No. Ironman UK will not have a relay race.

What age group am I in?
You will compete as the age you will be on 31st December 2013.

Is there a waiting list for the event once entries sell out?
No, we do not have a waiting list

Registration procedure
All athletes must register in person at the event prior to race day with photo id to collect their race packs. Nothing gets sent in the post. Please check the race week schedule for registration opening times. There can be no late registration.

Can someone else register and rack my belongings for me?
No, the athlete racing must register and rack their own bike/bags. Photo ID will be requested in registration.

Getting around on race day?
There will be several shuttle buses taking athletes and spectators from the Reebok Stadium to Pennington Flash for T1 starting from 3am. Athletes will be transported first and then the buses will returned for the spectators. There will also be a shuttle bus taking athletes from the Finish Line to T2 for bike collection via the Reebok Stadium after the race. .

• The feed stations will supply Sports Drinks, Water, Bananas, Energy Bars
• Ipods, MP3 players etc are not permitted on the course

Run quick facts
• The feed stations will supply Sports Drink, Cola, Water, Energy Gels
• Ipods, MP3 players etc are not permitted on the course
• Your race number must be worn on your front

Transition quick facts
• Ironman UK operates a clean transition. No equipment can be placed on the floor, in or box or otherwise around your bike. You will be given coloured bags when you register for your bike and run gear.
Blue Bag: Bike Gear, put all the kit you need for your cycle in this bag, including your helmet. (Don’t forget your race number) You will enter the blue bag area upon exiting the swim, here you will change and then head to collect your bike.
Red Bag: Run Gear, put all the kit you need for your run in this bag. Once you have left your bike you will enter the red bag area, here you will change and head to the run course
White Bag: this bag is for your dry clothing that you require after the race. The white bags will be in the athletes finish area and available to collect as soon as you finish the race

Can my friends/family/pets/spectator run down the finish line with me?
No, due to safety, spectators will not be allowed to run down the finish line. This area must be kept clear. Any athlete who crosses the finish line with a spectator will be disqualified

How many qualifying slots are there?
50, for the Ironman World Championships 2013. Slots are subject to change; please continue to check back for updates

How do I claim my slot?
Slots are allocated to each age group, final slot allocation will be determined on race day based on the number of official starters. Roll down will begin; athletes must be at roll down to accept their slot, if an athlete chooses not to take the slot or isn’t at roll down, the slot will get rolled down to the next finisher. If there are no finishers in an age group this slot will then get allocated to the biggest age group in that gender.

Withdrawal Procedure
Option 1.) Transfer
Athletes may be able to transfer their race entry according to the “Race Transfer Policy” – see further details on the Transfer Form

Option 2.) Cancellation
Cancellation notices received:
Until April 4th, 2013: 50% refund
Until June 4th, 2013: 25% refund
After June 4th, 2013: no refunds will be given. This policy is not dependant on circumstances and is final.

If you need to withdraw from the race please complete the online form which will be processed as soon as possible - Withdrawals
Special products such as extra tickets, DVDs or VIP-Tickets will be refunded until June 4th, after this date special products are not refundable.

It is not possible to defer your entry to another year or another athlete. The 5% Active fee is non-refundable.

Your withdrawal will be confirmed via email and can take up to 28 days to process.
Refunds are credited back to the card which you originally paid with.
